Leigh-Ann Mulcahy QC and Jacob Turner will explain why AI is unique as a legal phenomenon and the difficulties that this can cause in terms of assessing risk and writing insurance policies. The seminar will address how liability for AI might be determined under existing laws as well as the impact of new but untested legislation such as the Automated and Electric Vehicles Act 2018 and the GDPR. In addition to covering the UK, the seminar will also survey the developing international regulatory scene for AI. The seminar will close with a series of practical guidelines for insurers.

The seminar will take place at Fountain Court Chambers from 6 – 7.15pm on 27th November 2018 (registration from 5.45 pm, with drinks reception following).
