Orestis Sherman joined Chambers following the successful completion of his pupillage.
He was supervised by Rupert Allen, Laura John QC and Robin Barclay QC. He is developing a broad commercial practice in line with Chambers’ profile, and has particular interests in civil fraud, banking and finance, professional negligence and insurance.
Prior to joining Chambers, Orestis completed the LLM at the University of Cambridge, where he received the BRD Clarke Prize for ranking first in his year and the Chancellor’s Medal for distinction in English law. He was subsequently a Teaching Fellow at UCL.
Since joining Chambers, Orestis has undertaken a secondment at Appleby (Cayman) Ltd, where he gained experience of complex offshore litigation, with a focus on professional liability claims.

Acting (with Ben Hubble QC and Sebastian Said) in defence of a $60 million professional liability claim in the Cayman Islands alleging an actual conflict of interest on the part of the defendant firm.
