Fountain Court congratulates Matthew Gearing KC on being called to the Singapore Bar, as of 8 May 2024, one of only a few non-Singaporeans to be accorded this honour.
Matthew is a leading international arbitration lawyer, with extensive experience in particular across Asia, having been principally based in Hong Kong for many years prior to returning to the UK in 2020. He is highly ranked by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 for his work in Asia Pacific including specifically for arbitration in Singapore. He is a past Chairperson of the HKIAC, current Vice-President of the LCIA Court and an editor of the textbook, Russell on Arbitration. He is also called to the Bar in Western Australia and Solicitor-Advocate (non-practicing), Hong Kong.
Matthew is seeking the further final regulatory approvals before being able to practice Singapore law.
