Nik Yeo and Laurentia de Bruyn were recently invited to take part in Setia Law’s ‘Black and White’ podcast, alongside Managing Director Danny Ong and Director Yam Wen-Jhien.

The two-part discussion focuses on the recovery of stolen crypto assets and recent cases that shape and define the limits of what is possible in the constantly evolving crypto and digital assets space.

The first part of the discussion looks at what happens when the crypto exchanges fight back, as illustrated in Piroozadeh v Persons Unknown [2023] EWHC 1024 (HC), where a prominent crypto exchange successfully challenged and set aside a freezing injunction that had been obtained against it without notice.

The second part of the discussion will be released shortly.
