Fountain Court congratulates Chloe Carpenter KC and Eleanor Davison on their appointments as Recorders by the King, on the advice of the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice of England & Wales. Chloe and Eleanor will sit in the Crown Courts, on the South Eastern and Western Circuits respectively, hearing criminal matters. The appointments will take effect from 30 May 2023.
Chloe was called to the Bar in 2001 and took silk in 2020. She has a broad commercial, regulatory and disciplinary practice spanning commercial litigation, banking, professional discipline, financial services and professional negligence.
Called to the Bar in 2003, Eleanor specialises in international civil and criminal fraud, bribery, money laundering, market abuse and insider trading, sanctions and banking, financial services and regulatory and disciplinary investigations.
Both Chloe and Eleanor will continue to practise as barristers from Fountain Court on a full-time basis.
