Fountain Court is pleased to announce that Clare Sibson KC will be joining Chambers, as of Wednesday 16 November 2022.

Called to the Bar in 1997 and taking silk in 2016, Clare joins Fountain Court from Cloth Fair Chambers, having started her career at QEB Hollis Whiteman. She is considered one of the brightest legal minds at the Bar and has considerable experience of disputes at the intersection between commercial crime, civil fraud and regulatory law. She has worked on some of the most significant and complex cases within these fields and has substantial experience as an advocate and cross-examiner in which she has a particularly strong reputation.

Clare is ranked by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 for her financial and business crime practice and has been described as “fiercely intelligent with a lot of emotional intelligence”.

Head of Chambers Bankim Thanki KC said: “Our commercial crime practice has continued to grow in recent years, and Clare is a stellar addition to that practice grouping. We look forward to her arrival and to strengthening further our presence in this field”.

Senior Clerk Alex Taylor commented: “Clare has a superb reputation, and we are delighted that she will be joining Chambers. We very much look forward to working with her.”

Clare Sibson KC said: “I was lucky enough to work alongside excellent colleagues at Cloth Fair and I am now very excited to be joining Fountain Court, which leads the field in combining first class commercial and criminal practitioners.”

Clare’s arrival demonstrates Fountain Court’s continued growth in the field of commercial crime, following the ground-breaking launch of our practice in 2016 and the recruitment of several members since.
