The ECJ has upheld its previous decision in Sturgeon on the recovery of compensation under EC Regulation 261/2004 for flight delays. In the joined cases ofC-581/10 ( Nelson and others v Lufthansa) and C-629/10 (TUI Travel and others v CAA) the ECJ confirmed that compensation of €250 to €600 is potentially payable by airlines in respect of flights delayed by 3 hours or more on arrival at destination.
