Bankim Thanki QC and David Murray (instructed by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer) have recently been acting for Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the son of the King of Bahrain, who is suing the pop star Michael Jackson for breach of contract.

The trial commenced on 17 November 2008 in the Queen’s Bench Division and was heard by Mr Justice Sweeney.
