Chambers is delighted to announce that Mr. Justice Underhill has been appointed as President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) with effect from January 2009.

Mr. Justice Underhill was a member of chambers for almost 30 years before becoming a High Court Judge in 2006.  Whilst at the Bar, in addition to his highly successful commercial practice, he was widely regarded as one of the leading employment silks and was involved in many of the leading employment cases.

This appointment follows a proud tradition for Fountain Court: Mr. Justice Morison, another former member of chambers and former High Court Judge, also served as President of the EAT between 1996 and 1999.

Chambers continues to enjoy a reputation as a leading employment set, with several members, at both silk and junior level, specialising in both employment law and industrial relations.

Alternatively, please contact Alex Taylor, Director of Clerking, who is available to discuss any requirements you may have.
