On Saturday 14th June, it was announced that Peter Scott QC has been appointed CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. Peter, a door tenant and arbitrator at Fountain Court Chambers, is the current Chairman of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers, which oversees and regulates the takeovers of all listed companies. He has held this position since 2000.
Peter was called to the Bar in 1960, took silk in 1978 and served as Chairman of the General Council of the Bar in 1987. He was also Fountain Court’s Head of Chambers between 1994 and 1999.
