Fountain Court Chambers is pleased to announce that Timothy Howe and Mark Simpson have both been appointed Queens’ Counsel. This takes the number of silks practising at Fountain Court Chambers to 22.
Timothy Howe was called to the Bar in 1987 and undertook his pupillage at Fountain Court. He has built up a broadly-based practice encompassing commercial litigation and arbitration, both domestic and international, and extending to disputes and proceedings in overseas jurisdictions. He has particular expertise in a number of practice areas including: Banking & Finance, Insurance & Reinsurance, Civil Fraud, Corporate M&A, Energy & Gas, Commercial Arbitration and Professional Negligence. He is highly recommended by all leading legal directories in each of the practice areas in which he practices and is ranked as one of the “Stars at the Bar” by Chambers & Partners.
Mark Simpson was called to the Bar in 1992 and commenced his practice at Hailsham Chambers. He joined Fountain Court in 2003 where he specialises in Professional Negligence and Liability, Civil Fraud and Insurance work. Mark is the General Editor of “Professional Negligence and Liability”, a three volume 50-contributor looseleaf which is the most comprehensive text available in this field. In 2007, Mark won the Professional Negligence Junior of the Year award at the Chambers Bar Awards. He is rated in the top band of juniors for Professional Negligence by all the leading legal directories.
