Kit Holliday joined Chambers in October 2022, following the successful completion of his pupillage, in which he was supervised by Rupert Allen, Craig Ulyatt, and Marianne Butler.
Kit is developing a broad practice in line with Chambers’ specialisms, and is particularly interested in civil fraud, professional negligence, commercial disputes, company law and professional discipline.
Before coming to the Bar, Kit studied history at Cambridge University where he took a Starred First and placed second in his year in his undergraduate degree, winning various prizes. He then achieved a Distinction in his MPhil degree in the History of Political Thought.
The Glencore plc litigation
Acting (with Bankim Thanki KC, Adam Kramer KC and Nic Damjanovic) for a Claimant in the claim brought against Glencore Plc under ss.90 and 90A FSMA for alleged misstatements in and omissions from Glencore’s prospectuses and published information.
Enigma Diagnostics Ltd v Boulter
Acting (Craig Ulyat and Aaron Taylor) for a Defendant, Harvey Boulter, in relation to a claim for dishonest breaches of fiduciary duty. The claim is listed for a 5-week trial in February 2024.
LLP arbitration
Acting (with Alex Barden) in an Arbitration under LCIA Rules concerning an attempt to expel a member from an LLP, raising allegations of conspiracy. A 3-week hearing is fixed in late 2024.
Professional negligence claim
Acting (with Anneliese Day KC) on behalf of a defendant firm in a professional negligence action worth over £100 million, resulting in settlement.

Acting (with James Duffy and Nick Daly) in defence of multiple claims brought against Barclays under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 arising out of alleged mis-selling of timeshares.
Advising (as a pupil) in a dispute between an IVA supervisor and trustee acting for several thousand debtors and a bank over PPI complaints.
Advising (as a pupil) on conflicting jurisdiction clauses in the context of a dispute between a foreign public authority and bank over interest rate swaps.
Advising (as a pupil) on the effectiveness of a jurisdiction clause in a guarantee against a third party seeking an injunction to prevent the guarantor paying-out.
