On Monday 7th April, Fountain Court was thrilled to have two exceptional new door tenants join Fountain Court Chambers:  Professor Luca G. Radicati di Brozolo and Sebastian Said.

Stephen Moriarty QC, Head of Chambers at Fountain Court, is “delighted to have such highly regarded and talented international lawyers joining us.  They add an extra dimension to our international expertise:  We can offer our clients an even greater choice of experience as a result.  Fountain Court is very proud to be their London base.”

Luca runs an international arbitration, litigation and competition practice, Arblit, based in Milan which he founded in 2013.  As a top arbitration specialist Luca appears as counsel and sits as presiding, sole and party appointed arbitrator in ad hoc and institutional domestic and international arbitrations under a variety of rules and governing laws, including investor-state arbitrations. He also acts as advisor and counsel in court litigation, with a particular focus on issues of conflicts of laws and jurisdiction, competition and European Union law and public international. He appears as an expert before arbitral tribunals and foreign courts. Thanks to his experience as a competition lawyer, he is one of the foremost experts on arbitration involving competition law. Luca is a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and a Vice-Chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee.

Sebastian is making a return to Chambers having undertaken pupillage and tenancy at Fountain Court from 2004 to 2011. He currently practises in the Cayman Islands at Appleby, one of the leading litigation practices in that jurisdiction, having previously practised at Appleby in the Channel Islands. Sebastian will now also be available to accept new instructions through Fountain Court within the areas that he specialises, including banking and financial services and civil fraud, where his practice at Appleby allows.   Sebastian has acted in high-profile litigation and advisory matters for many prominent corporate clients.

Alex Taylor, Senior Clerk at Fountain Court, says:  “We are extremely pleased that Luca and Sebastian are joining us.  Fountain Court already has a phenomenal reputation for handling the largest and most complex international cases and they can only add to that.  They are also a perfect cultural fit, being extremely approachable people.  Their appointment underlines our global focus and ambition while retaining what our clients value in us as people.”
