Fountain Court Door Tenant Professor Peters Watts QC has been awarded a prestigious Leverhulme Visiting Professorship to the United Kingdom for the first half of 2016. Only 15 of these are awarded by the Leverhulme Trust each year across all disciplines (other than medicine) and the aim is to enable outstandingly distinguished academics based in overseas universities to spend time at UK higher education institutions.

Whilst Peter’s host is the University of Oxford, he will also be deliver lectures at University College London, York University and the University of Edinburgh. He will also be in Singapore in April 2016 where he will be a participant in a joint Oxford-National University of Singapore conference.

Professor Peter Watts QC is a Professor of Law at The University of Auckland. He is a leading New Zealand academic, and is a door tenant at Fountain Court as well as being an associate member of Bankside Chambers, New Zealand.  He is a recognised expert in agency, company and commercial law, including on directors’ powers and duties.
