Guy Philipps QC and Bankim Thanki QC, leading Edward Levey, are due to appear for separate parties in the first ever “paperless appeal” being heard by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in the matter of Altimo Holdings and others v Kyrgyz Mobil Tel and others.
The hearing, which commences on 30 November 2010 and is due to last five days, concerns the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man courts to hear claims arising out of the disputed ownership of a Kyrgyzstan mobile telephone company.
