Fountain Court is delighted to announce that Jacomijn (Jackie) van Haersolte-van Hof has joined Chambers with immediate effect.

Jackie will practise from Chambers as a full time arbitrator following 10 years as Director General of the LCIA. During her time at the LCIA, Jackie oversaw the professionalisation and internationalisation of the LCIA, a large rise in the number of cases, turnover and staff, and an increase in the diversity of arbitration panels.

Before joining the LCIA, Jackie practised as counsel and arbitrator in The Hague, at her GAR 100 boutique HaersolteHof. She set up HaersolteHof in 2008 after three years as counsel in the international arbitration group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Amsterdam, having previously practised at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in The Hague and before that at Loeff Claeys Verbeke in Rotterdam.

Jackie’s arbitration practice covers a wide range of commercial disputes including gas and other pricing disputes, sanctions, energy, commodities and the shipping industry, post M&A, distribution, pharma and investor state disputes. She accepts appointments from all major arbitration institutions including ICC, LCIA, SIAC, and ISCID, as well as ad hoc appointments in particular in UNCITRAL proceedings.

Speaking about her arrival, Head of Chambers Richard Handyside KC said: “On behalf of Chambers, I am delighted to welcome Jackie. Jackie has an outstanding reputation in the global arbitration arena, and I am very pleased that she has chosen Fountain Court as her new professional home. I have no doubt that Jackie will be a huge success in her new role and we look forward to working with her in further strengthening Chambers’ practice and profile in international arbitration.”
