Fountain Court’s Jacob Turner and Leah Gardner have contributed the chapter titled “International Regulation of Artificial Intelligence” to the second edition of The Law of Artificial Intelligence, a leading practitioner text published by Sweet & Maxwell.

In their chapter, Jacob and Leah set out some of the major initiatives at a national, regional and international level which are aimed at governing the development and use of AI technology. The chapter covers the EU (including the recently enacted EU AI Act), the US, Canada, Australia, China and Singapore, as well as principles promulgated by international bodies such as the OECD and UNESCO.

The Law of Artificial Intelligence addresses the application of existing civil and criminal laws to AI, and emerging AI regulations in the UK and beyond.  More information about the book can be found here.
