Sam Thompson

Team Leader’s Assistant

Sam joined Fountain Court in 2002 and currently assists Paul Martenstyn in the clerking of a team of 14 barristers ranging in call from Queen’s Counsel to junior members.  Sam’s role in the team includes assisting Paul in the development of members’ practices and liaising with Instructing Solicitors with various matters. Sam has gained considerable knowledge of court and tribunal listings and makes  good use of his experience whenever possible.

Sam is interested in the role of IT at work and has established himself as an alternative reference point within the Clerking Team with software and hardware questions.

He is a qualified member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks.

Outside of work, Sam participates in many sports including golf, football, skiing and go-karting.  He is also a keen Gillingham fan and enjoys going to watch them at the weekend.
