Energy & Natural Resources represents a significant and growing area of work for Fountain Court.
Fountain Court is recognised as one of the premier sets for major disputes in this field, whether in litigation or arbitration, and whether arising between energy corporates (generators, producers, suppliers), originating in the context of joint venture projects, or concerning the financing or insurance arrangements relating to energy generation, production and supply. Members have considerable experience of energy-related litigation arising out of accidents, recently including the litigation arising from the explosions at Buncefield oil storage depot and hurricane damage to infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico.
This area of practice also intersects with, and naturally complements, Fountain Court’s recognised specialisms in Banking and Finance, and Insurance/reinsurance.
