NICE fends off judicial review challenge
Charles Béar QC successfully represented the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) in fending off a challenge from pharmaceutical manufacturer Bristol-Myers Squibb. Mr Justice Blake held that NICE had not contravened the EU Transparency Directive nor acted unfairly in not disclosing its experts' economic model to the manufacturer.
